4th Global Conference

16-19 May 2016 • Copenhagen, Denmark

Previous Conferences

Women Deliver’s conferences are some of the world’s most premiere global convenings to focus on the health, rights and well-being of girls and women. Building on the successes of Women Deliver’s three previous global gatherings – in London in 2007, in Washington in 2010 and in Kuala Lumpur in 2013 – the 2016 Conference will bring together advocates, policymakers, journalists, young people, researchers and leaders of the private sector and civil society to showcase what it means and how it works when women and girls become the focus of development efforts.

The Women Deliver 2013 conference was one of the largest gatherings of policymakers, advocates and researchers focused exclusively on women’s health and empowerment to date, bringing together over 4,500 participants from 149 countries in Kuala Lumpur from May 28 – 30, 2013. The conference featured a wide range of speakers, topics and events related to the health and well-being of girls and women with a particular look to the future of the development framework. More than 1,000 participants were sponsored to attend the conference, which featured 61 donors and sponsors and 119 exhibiting organizations from government, companies, and civil society. More than 800 speeches and presentations were given at the six plenaries and 120 breakout sessions.

The next global conference will be held in Copenhagen, Denmark on 16-19 May 2016.
