How to Host a Side Event

We encourage our partners to take advantage of all that the Bella Center in Copenhagen has to offer and to conduct your own meetings, presentations, receptions, workshops, etc. in conjunction with Women Deliver’s 4th Global Conference.

Event space at the Bella Center and attached AC Bella Sky Hotel is available on a first-come, first-serve basis at the same rates negotiated by Women Deliver. Coordination and logistics will be handled entirely by the capable staff at the Bella Center.

*Important Note: Women Deliver has been informed that almost all of the event space at both the Bella Center and AC Bella Sky Hotel have now been reserved over the dates of May 16th, 17th, 18th and 19th.  If you are interested in hosting an event then we would be happy to connect you with the Bella Center team; however, please be aware that we cannot guarantee availability.

In order to avoid conflicts with the official Women Deliver program, please see below for the dates and times when side events are permitted:

Sunday, 15 May --Pre-conference events are permitted at any time on this day

Monday, 16 May*--Morning or afternoon events are permitted but must conclude by 4:00 pm so all delegates may attend the Women Deliver opening ceremony beginning at 4:30 pm
*Evening events are not permitted on this date since they would conflict with the Women Deliver Welcome Reception


Tuesday, 17 May*--Morning events are permitted but must conclude by 8:00 am so all delegates may attend the Women Deliver morning plenary beginning at 8:30 am
Evening events are permitted to begin at 6:00 pm or later.


Wednesday, 18 May*--Morning events are permitted but must conclude by 8:00 am so all delegates may attend the Women Deliver morning plenary beginning at 8:30 am.
*Evening events may not be scheduled on this date since they would conflict with the Women Deliver Cultural Night

Thursday, 19 May*--- Morning events are permitted but must conclude by 8:00 am so all delegates may attend the Women Deliver morning plenary beginning at 8:30 am.
Evening events are permitted to begin at 4:30 pm or later.


Friday, 20 May--Post-conference events may be scheduled at any time on this day

*Please note that all organizers and attendees of partner events conducted 16-19 May must be registered Women Deliver Conference delegates in order to gain access to the Conference Center.

If you are interested in conducting a partner event, please send an email to Alyssa Mahoney at PartnerEvents2016@womendeliver.org and include the topic of the event that you wish to host. You will then be connected to a contact at the Bella Center who will work directly with you on all logistics, including payments, from that point on.
