Angela has been completing research on how social movements work to ensure women’s rights in Costa Rica since 2014. She has a degree in Political Science and currently works as a consultant on matters of international cooperation. She is an active volunteer with the “Colectiva por el Derecho A Decidir,” the coalition for the right to decide, a non-profit which works to legalize abortion, in vitro fertilization, and the morning after pill and to ensure they are accessible to all women in Costa Rica. Angela works with the coalition to educate young people about sexual and reproductive health and the rights women have in the Costa Rican health system.
