Cherrie Evans
Cherrie Evans is a Senior MNH Technical Advisor in the Global Learning Office at Jhpiego. Her main focus has been evaluating the efficacy of strategies to promote maternal survival in developing countries, and most recently this includes the Helping Mothers Survive Bleeding after Birth training package. Cherrie has practiced as a midwife in the US in a variety of settings including pre-service midwifery and medical training and in 2008 she received her Doctorate in Public Health (DrPH) from Boston University. She provides technical leadership in maternal health for Jhpiego’s country programs as well as for the Johns Hopkins Center for Bioengineering Innovation and Design.
