Dorothy Balaba

image Dr. Balaba manages all health programs in PACE Uganda a local network member of Population services international (PSI). She has more than 15 years of professional experience. Her experience includes designing and managing national FP programs, adolescent-friendly reproductive health programs and Programs addressing maternal health. Dr. Balaba was key to establishing and developing one of Uganda’s leading social franchise “ProFam” that offers high quality and affordable reproductive and maternal health services to Ugandan women. Dr. Balaba has excellent leadership skills, with demonstrated experience managing and motivating large staff and health provider networks to produce measurable results. Dr. Balaba is a skilled researcher and has co-authored papers in peer reviewed journals and has presented at several national and international conferences. She is a Recipient of the International AIDS society (IAS) ANRS award 2006. She holds a Master’s degree in Public Health and a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from Makerere University Uganda.
