Jane Waterman joined the International Rescue Committee as Senior Vice President, Europe in September 2014. From 2010, Jane was previously the Vice President and Executive Director for Europe for the International AIDS Vaccine Initiative (IAVI) and from 2004, Director, External Relations for the International HIV/AIDS Alliance, based in Amsterdam. The former focused on the development of preventive HIV vaccines for use throughout the world and the latter dedicated to ending AIDS through community action. Jane’s earlier career included serving as the Head of Resource Mobilisation for the International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF), fundraising positions with CIIR, VSO, and The British Council, as well as assignments in Gaborone, Botswana and Zanzibar, Tanzania. She holds a BA with honors in History with French from the University of East Anglia and an MA in Gender and Development from the University of Westminster.
