Mr. Kristian Jensen has served as Minister for Foreign Affairs of Denmark and Deputy Prime Minister since June 2015. For Mr. Jensen, gender equality is a prime concern. From first day in office, Mr. Jensen has given women’s sexual and reproductive health and rights high priority. Mr. Jensen underlines that with the Sustainable Development Goals we now have the duty to ensure that we “leave no one behind”.

Mr. Jensen has been a member of the Danish Parliament, Folketinget, since 1998 as a part of the liberal party Venstre. From 2004-2010 he was the Minister for Taxation. At Venstre’s congress in 2009 Kristian Jensen was elected vice president of the party.

Mr. Jensen was born on 21 May 1971 in Middelfart, Denmark. He is married, with three children.
