Lianne Gonsalves has been with WHO’s Department of Reproductive Health and Research since 2013. She works at the intersection of the Department’s mHealth and adolescent sexual and reproductive health (ASRH) research portfolios on projects which use ICT to make SRH services and information more accessible to young people. Her research interests centre on innovative ways to improve youth health and wellbeing outside of health facilities. Previous experience includes working on sexual health and rights promotion among young people in Latin America; integrated population, health, and environment programming in East Africa; and outdoor education to strengthen positive interactions between marginalized youth and police officers in the United States. She earned her MSPH in social and behavioural interventions at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and has a BS in biological sciences and a BA in international studies from North Carolina State University.
