Lindsay Menard-Freeman
Lindsay is the founder of The Torchlight Collective, a social enterprise and global consulting group working to improve meaningful youth and adolescent girl engagement, support civil society movements, and achieve gender equality. She has worked for nearly a decade as an advocate and activist at the intersection of youth mobilization, sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), and global health. Prior to transitioning into consulting in August 2015, Lindsay worked for over three years as the Senior Manager of Youth Programs & Advocacy at Women Deliver, where she designed, lead, and raised funds for the Young Leaders Program, and for four years in the global HIV response as the Program Manager with the Global Youth Coalition on HIV/AIDS (GYCA). In addition to technical experience in youth participation, SRHR, global health, and human rights, Lindsay has demonstrated advocacy and communications experience. She is the Senior Editor at sherights.com, an online feminist publication, and her blogs have appeared on Huffington Post and RH Reality Check.
Lindsay has a Master’s degree from Columbia University in Human Rights Studies where she wrote her thesis on sex worker rights’ organizing, and a double major from the University of New Hampshire in English and Women’s Studies.
