Luwei Pearson
A global leader in the public health sector, Dr. Luwei Pearson has devoted the past two decades to helping women and children around the world. As a maternal and newborn health specialist, her commmunity-based interventions to ‘find the best fit’ has help millions of mothers across Africa access healthcare.
As Regional Health Advisor for UNICEF ESARO in Kenya, Luwei’s strengths lie in her technical leadership and ability to translate policy and global strategy to results on the ground through program implementation. Starting out at paediatrician in Beijing, she’s previously worked for UNHCR in Hong Kong, CIET International and UNICEF’s offices in Pakistan, China and Nepal.
