At Standard Chartered Bank, Payal oversees all programmes related to education (financial and digital literacy, work force development, and employability), health (HIV/AIDS and avoidable blindness), and emergency response and disaster relief. She also oversees the Banks’s flagship programme Goal, which engages and empowers adolescent girls through sport. Payal join Standard Chartered in July of 2008 as Head of Public Affairs for the Americas. With a background in international philanthropy and politics, Payal has worked for a wide range of public sector organizations, including the World Affairs Council, the Global Philanthropy Forum and the Earth Institute at Columbia University. Payal also works on foreign policy for the Office of President William J. Clinton and remains involved with the work of the Clinton Global Initiative. A Texas Native, Payal has an AB with honors from Stanford University and an MPA from New York University. Payal has been a Beyond Borders author since April 2014.
