Rossella E. Nappi
Rossella E. Nappi born in Naples, she is living in Pavia since childhood. She is Associate Professor at the Obstetrics & Gynecology Section of the Department of Morphological, Eidological and Clinical Sciences at the University of Pavia.
Gynecologist, endocrinologist and sexologist at the Research Center for Reproductive Medicine and Unit of Gynecologycal Endocrinology & Menopause, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, IRCCS San Matteo Foundation in Pavia.
She qualified in Italy and abroad with a doctorate in physiopathology of ovarian function and with a Canadian postdoctoral fellowship in reproductive molecular endocrinology.
She still keeps many contacts and collaborations with colleagues from all over the world and she is member of the more prestigious national and international scientific societies in the fields of gynecological endocrinology and physiopathology of reproduction.
Since the very beginning of her carrier she has studied menstrual cycle dysfunction (amenorrhea, polycystic ovary, dysmenorrhea, etc.), premenstrual syndrome and headaches related to reproductive events, menopausal symptoms and related diseases.
Since several years she has develop a peculiar interest toward emotional and sexual correlates of menstrual dysfunction, infertility, contraceptive choice and menopause.
She has been always a clinician and a researcher at the mean time and she has published several papers and book chapters, both national and international, in the field of physiopathology and psychobiology of reproduction.
