Suzanne Ehlers is President and CEO of PAI. She has worked for the last 20 years to promote women’s health, rights and empowerment across the globe. Ms. Ehlers has carried out this work at PAI for more than a decade, and has led the organization since 2009. She is highly regarded as an advocate, convener, and thought leader. Ms. Ehlers has repeatedly served on the U.S. government delegation to the United Nations’ Commission on Population and Development.  She serves as a board member for Ibis Reproductive Health; is an Environmental Leadership Liaison for Rachel’s Network; and has previously sat on the Board of Directors of the Global Health Council, the Janelia Family Foundation, The Biodiversity Project, and the Asia Pacific Alliance. For two years, Ms. Ehlers co-led the Rights & Empowerment working group of FP2020. Prior to joining PAI, Ms. Ehlers was a grant maker at the Wallace Global Fund, and has served as a Peace Corps volunteer in the Central African Republic (CAR).
