Tania Dethlefsen has been the Deputy Director of the Danish Family Planning Association (DFPA) since 2008. She is in charge of all DFPA international activities including: programme cooperation with partners in East Africa and South Asia; international advocacy and communication; and international fundraising. Prior to holding this position, she has worked as both Board Member and Programme Officer in several Danish NGOs, including the Danish Refugee Council and the Danish National Youth Council. From 2004 to 2006, she worked at UNICEF as a Programme Manager on education in Bolivia. In 2002-2004 she was Associate Lecturer at the Copenhagen Business School. Dethlefsen has a double Master’s degree in Social Psychology and Communication from the University of Roskilde. A Danish national, she speaks Danish, English and Spanish fluently.
