Ximena Andión Ibañez has sixteen years of experience working on the human rights field, particularly on women’s rights issues. She has an LLM in International Human Rights Law from Essex University. She has worked in civil society organizations in Mexico and abroad, such as the Comisión Mexicana de Defensa y Promoción de los Derechos Humanos and GIRE, the Center for Reproductive Rights and the High Commissioner for Human Rights in Mexico and Guatemala. She is currently the Director of the Instituto de Liderazgo Simone de Beauvoir (ILSB) and a professor at the Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City.
