Ruby works with the National Network Feminist Organization Beyond Beijing Committee, which facilitates the implementation of Beijing Platform for Action. She is a youth advocate on the Steering Committee formed by UN Women Nepal for the national review process of Beijing+20. Ruby has been involved in advocacy and lobbying efforts for the integration of women and youth needs, especially regarding the importance of sexual and reproductive rights. Her experience with the Women’s Health and Rights Advocacy Partnership project has equipped her with skills in designing and implementing participatory programs related to sexual and reproductive health and rights.
Ruby participated in the 59th Commission on the Status of Women at the United Nations headquarters in New York as well as in the Asian and Pacific Conference on Gender Equality and Women’s Empowerment: Beijing+20 in Thailand. After participating in the Asian and Pacific Conference, she helped formed a Young Women’s Caucus in Nepal. Ruby has presented a paper at the 7th Asia Pacific Conference on Reproductive and Sexual Health and Rights (APCRSHR) in the Philippines.
